Speak to us of our regrets…
Your regrets are what you perceive as acts you did not achieve in an appropriate manner. It is not your regrets you should be looking at but your perceptions in what it is you do. Or what it is that you perceive you did not complete correctly. These two simple thoughts or ideas are what you use to create your regrets. Let us then look at your actions at this time.
Everything you are doing has purpose and merit creating your dharma. You create actions that either challenge who you are so that you may grow, or your actions mimic previous actions that continue fulfillment of ideas and desires you have not healed. Challenging actions automatically place you in positions of asking yourself what is in balance, or out of balance, in your actions. Challenging actions are showing you how you can make new decisions around old ideas or habits. Creating new behaviors in your life helps you grow beyond your comfort zone. It also shows you how truly powerful you are and how you can continue to develop into new insights and possibilities. This way leads to fewer regrets. It is the way of self awareness, self care and personal growth beyond what society, family or friends purport to want for you.
When you continue to mimic behaviors from your past, or from the past of others, you are not following a road of your true self. You are lazily moving through your life with the least resistance possible. While this may be a comfortable way to behave for any length of time, it will eventually begin to take a toll. Behaving against your highest good, and many humans exhibit this behavior most frequently, will eventually lead to harsh lessons that may not be exactly to your liking. Ill health, mental collapse, instability in living arrangements, loss of friends, family or a job; these are but some of the regrets you may experience when you are not in alignment with yourself.
Who is “yourself?” It is the part of you seeking to learn as much, and live as much, as humanly possible in a lifetime. It is the part of you that is the complete gift to all other sentient beings on your world and in your universe. It is the “you” you are seeking when you have regrets for not being true to yourself.
So, your choices are quite simple…
– live a life seeking Yourself
or
– live a life filled with actions followed by regrets.
